I’m Alexis Johnston from Moffat Scotland , a lovely tourist town of approx 2,500 inhabitants.

In the main my Blog is about the jewllery and hair accessories I make for women and girls but I also do a weekly feature about a UK makers online site ,  Folksy.

From time to time there may be the odd post about interior design /renovation ( mostly cottagey stuff )   no minimalism here  🙂

I love antiques , flea markets , charity shops and boot sales , I never pass up a chance to  hunt down old things to beautify my home.

  1. Hi Alexis,
I have only just found your lovely comments on my tweedy purse on Rebeccas Handmade emporium in Folksy; it’s great to see someone promoting good handmade items. Thank you !
I have a new range of French Vintage bags and accessories coming out; look out for them on thehandmadeemporium later in January.
If I can get my techy head on i will follow you on FB…new to this game and not very clever at it yet. Hubby says stick to making lovely things instead, but then I wouldn’t meet such nice people as yourself !

    Hi Alexis
Thank you so much for including my folksy shop in your blog, I am really chuffed. There are some beautiful pieces featured in there. Great blog and I am very envious of your location, I just love Scotland.
Best wishes and thanks again. Lotti Rains @ http://folksy.com/shops/Glassbeadsbylotti (also on Etsy). 🙂 🙂

  5. Many thanks Alexis for featuring our Grace gown in your blog. We’re delighted that you like it and hope your readers will too. Jealous of your beautiful rural location whilst we’re stuck in the city.

Take care from Sarah Morgan Bridal
